I sat in for Georgie Girl on Feel Good Friday on Cabin FM on Friday 2 August 2024, my first show from the new studio. The theme for this programme was songs which didn’t make it to the top of the UK singles chart and reached a top position of number 2. So, expect ‘American Pie’, ‘Take On Me’, ‘Downtown’ and ‘Wonderwall’, and I also played the novelty record which prevented Ultravox’s ‘Vienna’ from reaching the top spot in 1981. I also reviewed the latest film releases including ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ and ‘Twisters’ and shared a few anecdotes and listener messages.
